A few of these comics have centered around Gill Village, a series pitch I've been developing these past few years.

 

Ever since Amber the axolotl moved in to the underwater town of Gill Village, uproar has followed wherever she goes. Amber’s loud, exuberant personality, coupled with the fact that she’s the only creature of her kind that the little town has ever seen, make her into something of an outsider to the town’s residents. Because of this, her attempts to befriend everyone in town haven’t exactly been successful. However, Amber has found kinship with Kelly Fisch—an incredibly reserved jellyfish who has the ability to control electricity with her body. Together, this peculiar duo is turning the quiet, mundane nature of Gill Village on its head in new ways every day. Amber makes quite a few more colorful friends and acquaintances as she settles into town, such as Dollar, her creepily brilliant silver dollar neighbor, and the stout, grumpy Mayor Maynot. From seahorse races to wishing starfish to government plots to steal Kelly’s electricity, Amber and Kelly find themselves in a new, more bizarre underwater adventure every day.
